The Training Seminar is an annual meeting gathering the entrepreneurs supported by Investisseurs & Partenaires. This 7th edition was organized from October 17 to 19 in Abidjan and gathered more than 70 entrepreneurs.

The seminar is notably organised by the African Club of Entrepreneurs, a pan-African association under Ivorian law dedicated to African SMEs and bringing together some sixty talented and committed entrepreneurs.

The African Club of Entrepreneurs, a panafricain NGO dedicated to entrepreneurship promotion in Africa

Gathering more than sixty entrepreneurs, the African Club of Entrepreneurs aims to be a new lobbying force in support of the entrepreneurial cause and small and medium-sized enterprises in Africa. The Club offers member companies high value-added services, grouped around four fundamental pillars: business development, training, advocacy and peer-to-peer exchange of best practice. Improving the performance and skills of its members is one of the Club's key objectives, conceived first and foremost in an entrepreneurial and pragmatic approach.

The General Assembly of the Club, which was held for the first time on the African continent, is a key moment for exchanges between members, strategy development and strong advocacy towards decision-makers and investors.

In 2018, many activities were carried out, including: (i) face-to-face and distance learning: English, marketing, financial analysis, investment consulting. (ii) Advocacy: participation in several events and conferences on entrepreneurship in Africa, (iii) business services: newsletters, exchanges, networking (iv) partnerships and resource mobilization with several partners, including I&P, the African Development Bank, and UNESCO.

An annual Training Seminar to address the needs of the Club's member companies

One of the Club's main activities is the organisation of an annual top management training seminar, conducted in partnership with renowned schools (HEC, INSEAD, etc.) and focusing on strategic themes for these companies such as human resources management, CSR, financial management, marketing and communication. The Club is above all a tool to strengthen the management capacities of entrepreneurs.

This year's subject, chosen after extensive consultation, is "Financial Issues and Financial Management".  The purpose of this seventh seminar, led by the KPMG firm, is to strengthen the capacities of business leaders in the mobilization and management of financial resources. It provides them with the keys to understand the issues related to the financing of their company, and equip them with the tools to effectively apply best practices within their companies.
