Fides Microfinance Senegal opens a fourth agency

Fides Microfinance Sénégal opened, last January, a new agency in the city of Thiès, the third largest city of the country. The microfinance institution pursues its efforts to densify its network in the Northern and Western parts of Senegal.

FIDES MICROFINANCE SENGAL is a new micro financial institution which aims at granting access to financial services to inhabitants of urban and rural areas in the Northern half of Senegal. 

The institution is headquartered in Saint Louis and has opened, since its creation in 2011, 3 agencies and 3 rural bank counters:

• An agency in Louba, opened in 2012
• An agency in Touba opened in 2013
• A new agency in Thiès (January 2015), comprising 15 employees so far
• 3 rural bank counyers: Mpal (2011), Kébémer (2012) and Mckhé (2014)

By the end of 2014, Fides Microfinance Senegal provided financial services to 28 000 clients. The company aims to double the numbers of clients by the end of 2016, notably thanks to the opening of 3 new agencies. The opening of the Thiès agency is a first step toward this objective.
