Investisseurs & Partenaires has organized, mid-october, its 4th training seminar dedicated to its partners, with the support of the European Bank of Investment and the fund FISEA. About 50 entrepreneurs have participated to address CSR issues in African SMEs. Read more on the seminar ►

 

The seminar was the opportunity to launch the "Club of African Entrepreneurs", a network of entrepreneurs aiming to promote the African entrepreneurship agenda and accelerate the financial and social performance of its members. On the third day of the seminar, the entrepreneurs chose the logo and elected their representatives.

 

 

 

A structure in the formalizing process

 

The Club of African Entrepreneurs is declared as an association in Ivory Coast and will be based in Abidjan. Over the long-term, this pan-African club aims to work with businesses operating throughout the continent.

The network will be structured at the national and regional level and will be directed by a heterogeneous Executive Board, composed of 5 entrepreneurs and one person from I&P staff.

 

Various and ambitious objectives to suppport entrepreneurship in Africa 

As for now, the network primarly aims to play the role of an exchange platform between the entrepreneurs, allowing them to identify partnership opportunities and share their knowledge and expertise.

The project is inspired by I&P's approach, which strives to support the entrepreneurs on the management and strategic aspects of their businesses. More broadly, the Club of Entrepreneurs is conceived as an advocacy tool to promote entrepreneurship in Sub-Saharan Africa, and support more specifically the cause of African SGBs.
