On Thursday 18 April 2024, AerialMetric, HERi Madagascar and Ultramaille, companies in the I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs 1 and 2 portfolios in Madagascar, received the partners and investors of the IPAE funds. An opportunity for the three companies to share their stories, missions, visions and impacts.

The visit began at the premises of AerialMetric, a Madagascan company that designs and operates drones for organic larvicide spraying, aerial mapping and cargo drones for the delivery of medicines, vaccines and women's health products to landlocked areas of Madagascar. 

Since 2018, AerialMetric has carried out more than 5,000 flights, at a rate of 10 to 15 flights a day. Around 10 tons of medical goods have been delivered to the SAVA, Analanjirofo, Atsinanana, Vatovavy, Fitovinany, Melaky, Sofia, Androy, Anosy, Menabe and Atsimo Andrefana regions. 

AerialMetric joined the IPAE 2 portfolio in 2023.

The investors, entrepreneurs and team members present then visited the production unit of Ultramaille, a Madagascan company specializing in hosiery, knitting and the manufacture of pullovers and other knitted items.

During his visit, Frédéric Wybo, who has run Ultramaille since 1998, spoke about his experience and the path he shared with I&P from 2016 to 2022, the date of I&P's exit from the company's capital.

The day ended with a presentation of HERi Madagascar. Founded in 2012 and supported by I&P through the IPAE2 fund since 2022, HERi Madagascar is a company specializing in the distribution and financing of solar energy solutions in rural areas of Madagascar. 

As a socially committed company, HERi contributes to the sustainable economic and social development of Madagascar's rural populations by distributing innovative products and services through a network of energy kiosks run by women entrepreneurs.
