The fund I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs (IPAE), which entered its last year of investment, welcomes three new companies in its portfolio. Operating in various sectors (agri-business, education and audiovisual), these SMEs share a common pan-African vision and development strategy.

Benefitting from its experience and strong presence in Sub-Saharan Africa, IPAE is a legitimate and strategic partner to support the multi-country development of these companies.

I&P publishes IPAE's annual ESG & Impact Report

I&P published the annual ESG & Impact Reporting for the fund I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs (IPAE). Launched in 2012, the fund holds about twenty SMEs operating in Sub-Saharan Africa and in the Indian Ocean in portfolio. 

I&P Impact & ESG team collects every year a series of impact indicators from IPAE investees, drawing a comprehensive review of the fund's societal strategy and the main impacts generated by our partners.

A first operational and impact evaluation for the 4th anniversary of the fund I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs

 

Launched in May 2012, the €54 million fund I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs (IPAE) currently counts 25 companies in portfolio, based in twelve Sub-Saharan countries.

This fourth anniversary represents an opportunity for I&P to reflect on the operational status of the fund and the impact performance of the companies supported by I&P’s team.

I&P joins EMPEA network and participates to the Global Private Equity Conference

 

Organized by the International Finance Corporation and the EMPEA, the 18th Annual Global Private Equity Conference is taking place on 10-11 May 2016 in Washington DC and gathers more than 800 professionals from 60 countries. Jean-Michel Severino joins the meeting for the first time this year, as I&P becomes a member of EMPEA network.

Launch of the first funds sponsored by IPDEV2: new financing solutions for small enterprises in Burkina Faso and Senegal

 

Standing as new players in the financing of small and growing businesses in their respective countries, Burkina Faso and Senegal, the funds Sinergi Burkina and Teranga Capital have been officially launched in February and March this year.

Their objective: finance and support emerging entrepreneurs in the implementation of their projects.

I&P strenghtens its health insurance policy for IPAE portfolio

 

In order to improve the health insurance policies implemented by its partner companies, I&P has developed a support program, with the financial and operational contributions of FISEA (Proparco). The support program will be ensured by the Ivorian consulting firm Afrik Assur, represented by Max de Font-Réaulx.

ANDE Meeting in Accra: a collaborative platform for SGBs

 

On March 17 in Accra, Ghana, the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) presented the MBC Africa Collaborative Platform for Small and Growing Businesses.

West Africa’s SGB sector gathered to watch promising Ghanaian agribusinesses pitch their ventures in a competition, and to learn about new research and practices from ANDE’s Executive Director, Randall Kempner, and impact investing organizations, among which I&P, The GIIN and Acumen. Baafour Otu-Boateng and Emilie Debled from I&P both partiticipated to the event.

Launch of Teranga Capital, first impact fund dedicated to Senegalese SMEs

 

Teranga Capital is the third African fund sponsored by Investisseurs & Partenaires. The fund has been officially launched on March 15 in Dakar, in presence of its director Olivier Furdelle, the shareholders and I&P team.

 

On this occasion, I&P and Teranga organized a round table and a launching event gathering several actors dedicated to the development of entrepreneurship in Senegal.
