From 13 to 15 October, more than 50 entrepreneurs will be gathered for the 4th edition of I&P’s annual training seminar, dedicated to the partner companies. The seminar will address the key issues related to employees’ recruitment and loyalty, based on the following question: how to enhance enterprise performance through employee motivation?

The seminar gathers a significant part of the companies supported by I&P. The entrepreneurs present in Paris this year come from 12 different African countries and operate in various sectors of activity (health, finance, construction, services...).

Focus on employees well-being and motivation

I&P organizes annual training seminars since 2012, so as to address some of the key issues encountered by the companies of the portfolio.

The previous editions were dedicated to human resources management, enterprise financing and management information systems. This year, the seminar will focus on the social responsibility towards employees.

The goals of the seminar are the following:

  • Develop good practices in terms of human resources and social responsibility, building on case studies and concrete examples
  • Encourage the use of practical tools for SMEs (how to improve their practices, how to measure the impact in terms of performance…)
  • Propose a personalized diagnosis to the companies, with comparative data on their social practices

A collaborative efforts of actors committed to supporting African entrepreneurship

I&P has implemented this technical assistance programme with the financing support of the European Investment Bank and FISEA, an investment fund held by the AFD and managed by PROPARCO. (see page 2) Both are long-term partners of Investisseurs & Partenaires

Training sessions will be provided by Sandra Happi-Tasha, specialized in Human Resources issues in African SMEs and founder of the Cameroonian consulting firm Tasha & Partners. She has already worked with two I&P partner companies (Trianon and ITG Store) and could follow up this work with other enterprises on the longer term. On Wednesday morning, Max de Font-Reaulx will intervene on health insurance issues and will suggest concrete solutions to the entrepreneurs.

For the first time, the seminar is organized in close collaboration with CEDEP, an international executive education development club. Benefitting from an extensive experience in professional trainings, CEDEP has been involved in the drawing of the program, ensuring the coherence of the training and proposing innovative techniques to raise the interest of the participants.
