Investisseurs & Partenaires publishes the first annual report of the Fund I&P Afrique Entrepreneurs 2 (IPAE 2). Officially launched in December 2017, it has now four companies in its portfolio. With a target size of €80 million, IPAE 2 will invest in equity and quasi-equity as a minority shareholder in 30 to 40 startups and businesses located in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean, operating in diversified sectors.

IPAE 2 aims to deliver significant financial return and essential social and environmental impact, including notably: the promotion of a new generation of African entrepreneurs, the use of local subcontractors, job creation, the promotion of women’s entrepreneurship, the protection of the environment, etc.

With this new fund, I&P strengthens its impact investment model focused on promoting responsible African entrepreneurs and demonstrates this through the implementation of an innovative system of remuneration for the management team, which is indexed not only to financial performance, but also to the achievement of extra-financial impact indicators.

Impact Management in 2018:

  • Implementing ESG action plans
  • Measuring impacts on local stakeholders (Entrepreneurs, Employees, Clients, Subcontractors)
  • Advocacy projets undertaken in 2018
