Shaga Greens

Shaga Greens Company Limited is a female-led Ugandan agribusiness engaged in the production, aggregation and export of fresh produce to European markets. Founded in 2013 by Annonciata Mukamugema, who identified the opportunity while living in the Netherlands where fresh produce from Uganda was scarce and overpriced, the company connects Ugandan smallholder farmers to higher-value export channels in the Netherlands and Belgium. Shaga Greens sources its produce from a network of over 400 smallholder farmers, exporting between 7,000 kg and 12,000 kg per week through its packhouse in Kyebando, Kampala.
