Launch of Sinergi Burkina, new financing opportunity for Small Enterprises in Burkina Faso

 

Officially launched on February 5 in Ouagadougou, Sinergi Burkina is a new fund dedicated to small growing businesses and start-ups in Burkina, sponsored by Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P).

Its objective: address the financing needs of local entrepreneurs and encourage them in the implementation of their project.

J.-M. Severino shares the insight of the Handbook "Investing in African SGBs" at GIIN meeting

 

The GIIN (Global Impact Investing Network) held an event designed for those actively engaged in investing in (or gearing up to invest in) early-stage ventures (with a focus particularly on the 'missing middle') delivering basic services in Africa. Jean-Michel Severino, President of Investisseurs & Partenaires, shared insights from the recently released handbook “Investing in African SGBS” and from I&P’s own portfolio.

I&P partners with the LAB, an event dedicated to African entrepreneurs

 

During the COP 21, which will take place at Le Bourget – France, from November 30th to December 11th 2015, The Planetworkshops organize an “Africa Off COP21” especially dedicated to all the African countries, the Land of African Business – LAB. the LAB will be an African showcase and a particular place for sharing the innovative “best practices” implemented in Africa around global warming issues.

I&P announces the first closing of its fund IPDEV2

 

 

IPDEV2, the first incubator and sponsor of African impact funds, held the signing of its first closing on October 20th 2015. While three funds are already operational, in Niger, Burkina Faso and Senegal, IPDEV2 aims to build a network of 10 impact funds in 10 African countries over the next 10 years, in order to finance the small and early-stage businesses of the continent.

From September 30 to October 2, the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) helds its annual conference, targeted at senior-level executives of ANDE member organizations, including leading investors, capacity development providers, foundations, banks, corporations, DFIs and research institutions.
