I&P publishes the fifth edition of its Impact Report, offering a comprehensive overview of the results achieved across all its business lines.

For over twenty years, I&P has worked to support the growth of African small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), convinced that their development is a key driver of economic, social, and environmental progress across the continent.

Through this report, I&P reaffirms its commitment to measuring, improving, and sharing its impact, to highlight its results and communicate transparently on the progress and challenges of its mission.

A comprehensive overview of I&P’s approach and results

The 2025 Impact Report provides an in-depth understanding of I&P’s work and results through four main sections:

♦ An overview presenting I&P’s mission and key figures;

♦ Our ESG & Impact approach, with a concise presentation of our methodology, commitments, and certifications;

♦ An impact analysis structured around our six impact pillars — entrepreneurship, quality employment, access to locally relevant goods and services, women empowerement and equity, local economic fabric, and sustainable growth — illustrated with concrete case studies;

♦ A panorama of our five business lines, showcasing the complementarity between our direct support to SMEs, our support to African investment teams, and our work to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems across the continent.

 

Key results at a glance

The results presented in this report highlight the vitality of African entrepreneurship and I&P’s contribution to its development:

♦ 240 enterprises in the portfolio, with impact data collected in 2024

♦ 16,900+ jobs created or maintained, including 75% formalized

♦ 77% of companies led by African entrepreneurs

♦ 70% of companies providing essential goods and services contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

♦ A stronger local economy, with 33,100+ African suppliers

♦ 46% of companies engaged in environmental initiatives
