Launched in July 2020, Le Lionceau was one of the first companies to benefit from I&P Acceleration in Sahel.
As part of this ambitious program for young Sahelian companies, we met Siny Samba and Rémi Filasto, founders of this company that specializes in the production of baby food products in Senegal.
Nowelli is a small Senegalese company that specializes in individual and collective catering (catering service and canteen management). Through its various offers, Nowelli provides its customers with healthy and balanced products, with a particular focus on reducing the amount of sugar, salt and fat.

Dakar American University of Science and Technology (DAUST) is a private higher education institution offering a 4-year engineering program, masterclasses dedicated to professionals in the sector and a "prep" program with international opportunities. The specialties taught are chemistry and biomolecules, civil and environmental engineering, electronic and computer engineering and finally mechanical and aeronautical engineering.
THE ENTREPRENEUR
DAUST was founded by Sidy NDAO, a 38-year-old Senegalese born and raised in Dakar before going to continue his studies in the United States. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska and a post-doc from MIT, he is an engineer specialized in mechanics and robotics. He returned to Senegal in 2009 to engage in the promotion of STEMs (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) in Africa.
I&P' CONTRIBUTION
DAUST benefits from support through the I&P Acceleration in Sahel program dedicated to education and employment (IP2E). The funding and support will enable the university to increase its hosting capacity while attracting an international clientele.
EXPECTED IMPACTS
The Institut Académique des Bébés (IAB) is a training school dedicated to the professional and technical training of children's professions. At the end of a one-year course, a professional certificate of specialization, issued by the Ministry of Training, is delivered to learners, allowing them to be employed as facilitators, educational assistants or assistants in nurseries, maternity wards, leisure centers or at private homes. The Academic Institute of Babies also has crèches for children aged 3 to 19 months.
THE ENTREPRENEUR
IAB was founded by Fa Diallo, a Senegalese-Guinean woman who grew up in Senegal before moving to France to study finance/accounting. Fa Diallo worked for a long time in accounting and finance while taking early childhood training. She has worked for more than 10 years in local authorities on early childhood issues, notably in Nancy's day care centers, at the Foyer des Jeunes Travailleurs de Nancy and at Nancy's regional maternity hospital. Fa returned to Senegal in 2016 and began the process of starting the Institut Académique des Bébés in 2017.

Fulbe et Khem is a laboratory created in 2015 specialized in the transformation of local medicinal plants into food supplements and cosmetic products and the commercialization of these products in pharmacies, parapharmacies, mini-markets and organic store chains in Mali.
THE ENTREPRENEUR
Fulbe et Khem was created by Mamoudou Elimane HANNE, a French-Malian former top-level sportsman (European Champion and French record holder in 4x400m) with a Bachelor's degree in Economics/Management and a BTS in Negotiation and Customer Relations. Convinced by the benefits of natural plants, he decided to move to his country of origin to launch his company.

Eco Clair is a company specialized in industrial laundry services for hotel complexes, businesses and industries, and individual clients. Today, the company has a processing capacity of more than 4,000 pieces of laundry per day and counts among its customers the Airone company and the Accor group.
THE ENTREPRENEUR
M'bim Lou Josette Kouadio holds a BA in Psychology from Cocody University and a DESS from CAMPC - University of Cocody. Before launching the company Eco Clair, Ms. Kouadio held several positions, including Assistant Head of Personnel for the Sococe group in mass distribution and Head of Personnel for Quick Net Service (RMO Group).
COMOE CAPITAL'S CONTRIBUTION
Ecoclair is supported by the I&P Acceleration in Sahel program, set up by Comoé Capital in Côte d'Ivoire, which will enable it to acquire chip bedding and electronic linen reading equipment. The company will also benefit from the support of several consultants who will help train local employees to fully internalize maintenance, as well as upgrade teams to obtain quality and/or environmental certification.
In terms of impact, the company expects to create 22 new jobs by 2022.

Created by Chérif Louan, Editions Afrique Lecture (EAL) specializes in the publishing and production of after-school books (annals of middle and high school classes). Its editorial line also enables it to publish works of literature (in French and national languages), essays and textbooks (course books, books, etc.). Editions Afrique Lecture offers its know-how to structures wishing to produce and/or publish their documents.
THE ENTREPRENEUR
Cherif LOUAN is a publisher, graphic designer, editor and modeler. He holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) in Applied Mathematics and Physics (with the use of computer tools) from Kharkov State University in Ukraine - USSR. Author, co-author, editor and composer of several books (3rd and 4th grade mathematics, descriptive statistics textbook, physics and chemistry textbook for 6th to 3rd grade), he has 15 years of textbook composition at Editions Afique Lecture. He is the president of the network of publishers in Niger and managing director for the book sector at the Agency for the Promotion of Enterprises and Cultural Industries.
