The creation of ASAFIN-IFPT Group stems from the desire of its founding members to support  vocational training   territorialization, while at the same time exporting the know-how of the ASAFIN model for the benefit of all young Senegalese.​​

This center has a strong social vocation and welcomes each year about 1000 young people from all over Senegal with 5 centers, in Dakar the capital, Keur Massar- Rufisque ( a  capital’s suburb), and in 3 regions : Kaolack, Mbour and Maleme Hodar

THE ENTREPRENEUR : 

ASAFIN was founded in Dakar in 1981 by Mr Alioune Badara Kane, who has several years of proven experience in vocational and technical training.​
In 2020, the center was restructured by a group and is now led by Mr. Ngouda Fall Kane, the founder's son. ​
Mr. Kane, has a degree in economics and a BTS in management accounting. He held several positions within the group before becoming the Manager and Director of the ASAFIN-IFPT Group Center in 2020

YARANI is a private vocational training center founded in 1990 by the Association Of Education and Development – EDE

YARANI was created to support the advancement of women of all ages and all social conditions in society through professional qualifications. The school offers Vocational training and continuous training in Catering, hospitality, and Nurse Aid to only women. The school campus is located in Abidjan Côte d’Ivoire.

The Entrepreneur
After 10 years in secondary education, Marie-Odile CACHIA joined Yarani in 1994 as General Manager. 

She holds a BAC G2, a CPECF, a BTS in accounting, and many certificates (Psychopedagogy, Hotel Management, Digitization of Training Services, ...) over the last 16 years.

Expected impacts

• Improve the quality of education of education with the development of short term train,  acquisition of pedagogical equipment and the training of teacher

IASS MDB is a private vocational training school specializing in the field of health, which awards state diplomas enabling students to work in both private and public facilities. Its aim is to fill the gap in the number of health professionals in Senegal.

 In 2023, the school has more than 500 students on its 3 campuses (Dakar, Louga, Touba)

The Entrepeneur 

NdèyeSokhna DIENG, the eldest daughter of the founder has taken over the management of the school as the CEO.

Graduated in Business Administration, she has made her entire professional career within the school by occupying successively from 2001 to 2021 the position of secretary, cashier, accounting assistant, accountant, administrative and financial direct

Magoé Technologie is a Guinean company specializing in educational technologies.

Its educational platform, Magoé Education, is currently available in two versions: Android (downloadable via Play Store) and web (accessible via https://magoe.fr/). It comprises two distinct solutions, each targeting a specific customer segment:

• Magoé Mon école : This is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution designed for schools, universities and institutes. This solution is designed to simplify and secure the management of these establishments, quickly and efficiently.
• Magoé Révision : This e-learning solution is designed for primary, secondary and high school students. It enables students to revise and practice all subjects, wherever they are, even without an Internet connection. It enables parents to track the revision progress of their registered children.

The entrepreneur

Magoé Technologie was founded by Mazoughou GOPEOGUI, a Guinean entrepreneur with some 16 years' experience in education and educational technology (EDTECH). He holds a bachelor's degree in physics and a master's degree in electronics, focusing on energy and environmental systems, from the Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry (UGANC).

Partnership with I&P and MBM Capital

Magoé Technologie is supported by I&P and MBM Capital through I&P Acceleration in the Sahel program. The main objectives of this partnership are :

• Improve the design and user-friendliness of the website and applications
• Produce additional video content
• Improve sales and marketing activities
• Strengthen the management system
• Reorientation of the business model

Expected impacts

• Creation of over 300 new videos
• Recruitment of 6 permanent employees and dozens of temporary staff
• Anticipated sales growth of 77% in 2024 (compared with 2023) and 30% in 2025 (compared with 2024)

The first campus of the EDHEC Group was opened in Abidjan, in 2003. Then, Bouaké and San Pedro campuses opened respectively in 2009 and 2012. EDHEC group offers Higher Education diplomas in the Industrial and Tertiary sectors.

One of the main objectives of EDHEC is to make education accessible to all. Therefore, the school has introduced a discount policy for students coming from disadvantaged backgrounds and who do not benefit from government scholarships. As a result, ~100% of their students receive each year a scholarship either from the government or the school.

THE ENTREPRENEUR

Paul Dakuyo is the founder and the General Manager of EDHEC GROUP. He holds an MBA in Business Administration from the American Pacific University (1988), a DESS in Economic Diagnosis from the Faculty of Economic Sciences of Grenoble (1994), and a PhD in Business Administration from the Washington International University. After his studies, he returned to Côte d'Ivoire where he has been teaching for 38 years. Passionate about education, and willing to contribute to the decentralization of the educational system he decided to create the EDHEC Group in 2003, as well as NIMBA Consulting (in 2004), a training and placement firm.

Knutsford University College (Knutsford) is a private liberal arts, science and technology University College, established in September 2007. Knutsford College has two campuses, one in Accra and another one in Kumasi.

Programs offered in the Accra campus are BSc. Business Administration, BSc. Information Technology, BSc. Computer Science, BSc. Communication and Media Studies, BSc. Nursing, and BSc. Economics. The programs available in the Kumasi campus are BSc. Business Administration and BSc. Information Technology.

The founder is passionate about education and he acknowledges that there are struggles and challenges, so he offers scholarships to students to reduce this burden. In 2019, 60% of students received scholarships, in 2020 this figure increased to 65% and in 2021, 51% of students were offered scholarships. Usually, most scholarships are granted to first year students, however, in 2020, the founder decided to extend this to sophomore and junior students due to the pandemic.

Workshops are organized for students interested in entrepreneurship. Knutsford also believes in leadership and contribution to society – students create awareness on environment and sanitation issues through outreach activities. Knutsford won the Ghana Environmental and Sanitation Award, 2022 for their efforts in this regard.

THE ENTREPRENEUR

John K. Essel is an astute self-developed businessman and leader in entrepreneurship development and creativity. A graduate of the UST School of Mines, now University of Mines (UMaT), Mr. Essel diverted his attention from engineering into creation of enterprises. He has helped create and develop some SMEs in Ghana and beyond. Mr. Essel also served as the founding Deputy Registrar and Acting Registrar of one of the first private university colleges in Ghana.

Founded in 2009, Jackson College of Education (JCE) is a teacher-training college that focuses on providing degree and diploma programs in education. JCE’s aim is to instill discipline and hopes for a brighter future in all, regardless of age, race, education, professional, social, and religious backgrounds and provide specialized education training and most importantly extend this training into underserved areas to improve education access.
JCE offers two major programs: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, all via distance learning. JCE uniquely delivers a rare opportunity to beneficiaries to actively work while pursuing their academic ambitions with their distance or online learning modus operandi. Due to its mode of operation, Jackson College of Education utilises campuses of the regular colleges of education during the weekend period. The college meets students every fortnight either in an in-person class or in an online synchronous session.
Jackson College of Education is arguably one of the prominent private colleges of education amongst the eight (8) private colleges of education in Ghana. THE ENTREPRENEURS

Professor Jackson is the former Provost of the College of Engineering, KNUST an Electrical Engineer and a retired Associate Professor with over 40 years teaching experience at KNUST. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, KNUST, Kumasi. PhD in Automatic Control, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. He has lectured and help develop curriculum for most Polytechnics in the country now (Technical Universities). He developed the first GPA and CWA software (grading software) for KNUST and other universities in Ghana.

Theodosia Wilhelmina Jacksonhas over 40 years of education experience in various capacities within the public sector and is still going strong in the private sector after her retirement, 15 years ago. She is particularly active in transforming lives of girls especially in prostitution and young teenage girls with children or pregnancies by training them in vocational and small enterprising skills to cater for themselves and their children. She pursued a 3-year specialist program in Agriculture at Bagabaga College of Education in Tamale.

Founded in 2015, Perform ISMA (Institut Supérieur des Métiers de l'Automobile et de l’Aviation) is one of the few private schools in Senegal specialized in automotive training. 
The institute includes a business school specializing in automotive trades, as well as a technical and vocational training center to capture all the potential demand from young people with CAP, BEP, BT and BTS diplomas in automotive and petroleum trades.
This pioneering school in the automotive sector is designed to fill the training gap in this sector, which is in great demand by companies. It is also aligned with government's goal to strengthen support for public and private technical and vocational training.
Perform’s missions are to:

Offer high-quality technical and vocational training for students and professionals in line with the real needs of the automotive and aviation sectors;

Contribute to the development of the human capital of companies and administrations operating in the automotive and aviation sectors;

Participate in research and innovation for the development of the automotive and aviation sectors.

The school is recognized for its compliance with education sector regulations, the specialization of its training offer, the quality of its training, and its relations with professional players both nationally and internationally. Perform operates in a fast-growing market with high demand for technical training, especially in specialized fields.
They offer accessible tuition fees with scholarships granted to the most vulnerable to reintegrate all these young people who have dropped out of school, generally from disadvantaged families. This opportunity is offered with a high standard of training quality, based on a practice rate of around 70%, and a major objective: to mobilize all the school's energies for the professional integration of students and graduates.
To achieve this, students need to be close to the training offered, with an appropriate learning environment using modern tools.

THE ENTREPRENEUR

Dame GUEYE holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Institut Supérieur de Management ISM Dakar, followed by a rich career in the tobacco (Philip Morris and British American Tobbaco) and the automotive (Volkswagen Senegal, CFAO, Mercedes and CCBM) industries, he founded Perform. Through Perform, he wants to bring innovation to technical education and vocational training in Africa, in a spirit of creativity and prospective.

Riohs College of Design (Riohs) was founded in 2010 as a creative art service provider and training company in Accra. Riohs equips students with the necessary skills in fashion design and illustration after 6 months of training. Riohs started from humble beginnings offering training to a small number of students. Subsequently, an open studio was set up in a one-bedroom apartment. The institution then moved to a three-bedroom apartment as the number of students increased. Riohs wants to be known as the center that transforms lives, giving opportunities and skills and encouraging the expression of creativity under the guidance of professional artists. Over the years, Riohs has nurtured the skills of many creators who have established their brands in Ghana and West African countries especially Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Liberia, and Togo.

THE ENTREPRENEUR

Prior to entrepreneurship, Richard Ohene Sika was a fashion design instructor and talent manager. He taught in different fashion schools. Richard has a passion for teaching and fashion and this would lead to a remedial course where he would tutor students who required additional help. Thanks to his skills and worthwhile tutoring, the number of students grew from one to five, and then ten through word of mouth and referrals. Richard did not charge students for extra lessons, instead, he asked them to donate. The impact he generated far outweighed the monetary rewards for him.

⇒ Set up a digital studio and introduce a new course called Digital Fashion which would enable students to illustrate digitally.

The Institut International des Affaires en Entrepreneuriat (2IAE) is a Grande Ecole founded in 2006 and has five campuses in Côte d'Ivoire: Abidjan (Cocody and Yopougon), Yamoussoukro, Mbatto and Azaguié.
The school offers courses focusing on the industrial sector (agricultural production and civil engineering), with a high proportion of practical courses offering students excellent employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. For example, the agricultural programs feature facilities such as a fish pond, a farm and several experimental plots.
Entrepreneurship is at the heart of 2IAE training. All students enrolling at the 2IAE, whatever their program, receive entrepreneurship courses. In addition to promoting self-employment, the founder partners with national and international institutions (Office International des Migrations, European Union, Agence Emploi Jeune) to set up programs where students with vulnerable profiles receive short-term training with many practical courses to help them integrate into the workforce.

Séraphin Koua is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for agriculture. His vision is that entrepreneurship is one of the surest ways for African countries to solve the problem of poverty and unemployment. His aim is to train young Ivorians in self-employment and contribute to the country's socio-economic development.
